What is a one-time live chat admission?

This is currently only available for communities that have a Stripe account connected.


Once you've started a live chat or a livestream, you will notice that only supporters can participate in a live chat. However, by enabling the one-time live chat or livestream admission settings in your Creator Admin Panel, you can allow non-supporters to participate in this particular live chat. These members will only have access to participate in the live chat/livestream they paid for and they will not have access to anything else a supporter normally has access to.


This is a good way for non-supporters to try out your community and see what it's about so make sure you share the live chat/livestream!


Members can either pay while inside the community or when you share your live chat/livestream post, they can also signup and join directly from the share page.

To enable and set the price for the one-time admission:


  1. Log into your Locals community
  2. Go to the Community Admin panel (located under your username menu)
  3. Go to Payment Setup on the left side menu
  4. Under the supporters section, make sure the toggle is ON for One-time live chat and set a price (price minimum is $0.50)
  5. Click Save changes
