What is Content+?

Content+ is a type of video post (other media may be added in the future) that allows creators to monetize a specific piece of content such as higher end productions, like full movies, classes, comedy specials or other types of content that is different than the usual content that the creator posts.

It is not available for normal supporters who are on a monthly plan (or 1-time supports of 1, 3, and 6 months). Monthly supporters or 1-time supporters need to either subscribe annually or pay a one-time fee for access, depending on which Content+ options are available in that community. Creators have the option to make it only available to Annual supporters (or 1-time supports of 12 months) or only as a standalone purchase, or both. Once access has been purchased, you can watch it an unlimited amount of times online.

If you subscribe annually to get access, you will have access to the Content+ as long as your annual subscription remains active. You also get the added bonus of gaining access to all current and any future Content+ that gets released, without having to pay any more.

How to Purchase/watch Content+

Once a Content+ post is published to the newsfeed, you'll see a banner near the bottom of the post showing the payment options. If there is a trailer available, you can click the player icon to preview before purchasing access.



Upon clicking on the banner, you'll prompted to pay for access (you may only have 1 option, depending on the community).

Note: If you choose to make the stand-alone purchase, and are not subscribed, you only get access to that specific Content+ post, and can only see/leave comments on that post. If you want full access to other content in the community and the ability to see/leave comments on all posts, you would need to either subscribe annually (if available) or monthly.



Once you have purchased access to the Content+ Post, you are free to watch the video an unlimited amount of times. You will also be able to view and leave comments on that particular post.

Content+ is only available to watch/stream online at this time, it is not available for download or offline viewing.

How to find the Content+ after purchase

There are a few ways you can find the Content+ post once you've purchased it:

You can search by title or browse in the newsfeed, and once found you can bookmark the post to make it easier to find again later. You can view bookmarked posts by using the "Posts by" newsfeed filter setting. You can also choose to bookmark the URL of the Content+ post in your web browser.



You can access it through the Content library, which you can access from the newsfeed page on the left side menu. Once in the Content library, you can search for the post by title or select the filter on the left and set to show "Only Content+" posts.

How to watch Content+

You can watch your Content+ video on the web on your computer/laptop, on tablet, or the Locals app on mobile.

If you are using the Locals app, you can cast the Content+ video to your TV using Airplay or Chromecast. For instructions, click here.

You can also watch on your smart TV using the LocalsTV app if you have FireTV, GoogleTV, Roku or AppleTV. Alternatively, if you have an HDMI cord and a computer/laptop, you can connect your computer/laptop to your TV using the HDMI cord (basically, using your TV as a monitor).
