Locals app audio/podcast controls
Launch the app and go to a community that you want to listen to podcasts from. To access the content library, tap on the player icon (shaped like a triangle) at the bottom of the screen. By default, the content library will show the lists of videos, tap the “Podcasts” tab to access the podcast section.
Tap the play button on the podcast you’d like to listen to, and it will start playing. You’ll see a player banner appear at the bottom of the screen that shows basic controls. Tap the “1.0x” to change the playback speed. Tap the pause/play button to pause or play, and the x to close the podcast.
If you tap the banner itself, it will expand the podcast player in a larger window, where a few more controls will become available:
Tap the share icon on the left to share a link to the podcast.
Tap the circular arrows on the left and right to skip backwards or forwards by 30 seconds.
Tap “Reply” to post a comment, or tap the thumbs up to like it.
Tap the chat box next to the thumbs up to view all the comments on the podcast, which you can also like or reply to. (You can also reach this screen from the podcast list, by tapping on the podcast directly, instead of tapping the play button).
Note: If you leave the app while the podcast is playing or your phone goes to its lock screen, it will keep playing in the background. If you want to pause, rewind or stop the app, reopen the Locals app and you’ll be brought to the community newsfeed and will see the podcast player banner at the bottom of the screen.
