How to cast to TV from the Locals app
To cast a video you are watching from the mobile app to your TV, first launch the Locals app, go to the video you want to watch, and play the video. In the player window, you will see a cast icon next to the full screen button. On iOS devices, it will cast using Airplay and on Android devices, it will cast using Chromecast.
Casting is not available for live streams while it's live. If you want to cast a live stream video, you will need to wait for it to finish and cast the replay video.
Next, tap the cast icon, and it will ask you what device you want to cast to.
Once it's cast, the video will stop playing on the app and will just be playing on the device you cast it to. Some functions in the video player will be disabled (i.e. mute, speed, quality selection).
If you want to disconnect from casting, tap on the cast button in the app again and disconnect.
You may also be able to control the casting from your OS' native cast controller so you can disconnect and control volume from there.
