How do I subscribe through the Locals app?

You can support communities from the Locals app by purchasing coins via Apple/Google store and giving them to the communities you want.

We recommend subscribing on the website if possible, as your subscription will still be recognized when you access the app. You also don't have to use coins currency to subscribe on the website (though it's still an option), you can pay directly with a credit card. Go to the community you want to subscribe to; there will be several ways to initiate.

Scroll to find them on your My Newsfeed, find a locked post and tap the red “support” button



Click on the content icon in the navigation bar (2nd one from the left)
Attempt to make a post
Click on a post to try and view/make a comment

Once you initiate this, a new screen will appear where you can choose the amount of time you'd like to subscribe and the associated cost from a drop down list (by default, 12 months is selected, but you can tap and select a different time frame, such as 1 month, 3 months, etc). If you’ve already purchased the correct amount of coins, tap “Give Coins” to subscribe.
