How do I leave a post on the Locals app?

Who and where can I post?

Only supporters can leave posts or comments in communities that have them enabled. You can create posts in the community on the app or on the community website (i.e.
scottadams.locals.com).

How to create a post in the Locals app

After launching the app, tap the newsfeed icon on the bottom left. If you’re already at the community you want to post in, simply tap the + to start a post.

If you're on My Newsfeed, tap the + and it will list the communities you’ve joined; tap the community you want to post in.

After tapping the + icon, you will see a post page open where you can type your message. On the top right you will see the publish button, but it won’t highlight until you’ve typed at least a minimum of 10 characters.

At the bottom, you will see 2 switches you can toggle on or off (they are off by default):

Supporters only - Switch it on if you want to make your post visible to supporters only; otherwise, leave it off to make your post visible to all members.

Allow Tipping - Switch this on if you want to allow other members to tip you post, using Locals coins. Keep in mind, this option will only show up if the community creator has it enabled in their settings. To learn more about tipping, refer to this article: What is Tipping?

You will also see other options such as to upload photos or videos.

Note: As a supporter you are limited to uploading video clips with a maximum duration of 5 mins and less than 200 MBs in size. You can upload up to 10 images in one post.
