How do I tip a post on the Locals app?

What is post tipping?

Tips are an optional way for members to show appreciation to a creator's posts or to other team members' posts inside a community. Tips are paid with the Locals coins currency, which you can purchase on locals.com or on the app. Tips do not add any membership benefits, such as when you pay for a subscription/make a one-time donation.

Keep in mind, post tipping is only available in communities that have post tipping enabled by the creator. If enabled, ONLY creator's and team member's posts will be allowed to collect tips.

How to leave a tip on a post

If you see a post with a tip jar and would like to give a tip, tap on the tip jar and select the amount of coins you want to tip. You can select one of the options or enter a custom amount.

Tap the tip jar on the post

Choose the amount of coins you want to give from the different options

Select Custom to manually choose how many coins you want to give

If you don't have any or enough coins, tap "get coins" to be taken to a coins payment screen.

Note: 10 coins = $1, which is the minimum amount you can tip

Select the amount of coins you want to purchase, enter your payment information, and tap buy.

You'll then be taken back to the tip screen with your newly purchased coins. Select the amount you'd like to tip and then tap the "Send Tip" button to finalize. The screen will then close and return to the post, where you'll see your tip amount added to the tip jar.
