How to moderate posts in my community

How to Moderate?



Every community owner is in charge of their own community and therefore is in charge of their own post moderation in their community. You can moderate all pending and flagged items in your creator admin.

To get here:

Log into your Locals community
Go to the Community Admin panel (located under your username menu)
Go to Moderation > Review

If there is something to review, you will usually see a red dot indicated next to the Moderation item with a more specific count badge once you open up the menu item.

There are 2 types of reviews you can review:

Flagged - these are reports that users from your community make on certain Posts/Comments/Replies

When a user flags a user/post/comment/reply, they are asked to fill out a form to indicate the reason they flagged it and provide additional details if necessary. You will see this reason provided in the Flagged Reason column. If the reason something was flagged violated Platform guidelines, it will be sent to the Locals team to review. If the reason something was flagged violated your community's guidelines, it will be sent to your queue.


Flagged Pop Up

There are 3 actions you can take with Flagged items:

Ignore - you don't think is a good reason for this post/comment/reply to be flagged and decide not to take any further disciplinary action
Delete - you remove this post from view for all
Block user - you will block this user from your community

Pending - these are posts that are posted by relatively new members in your community and will need to be reviewed (or in case you selected full moderation, you will need to moderate every single post).

There are 2 actions you can take with Pending posts:

Approve - all members are able to see the post
Delete - you remove this post from view for all


Add a Team Member to Help Moderate



Normally only the creator and community admins have access to the Creator Admin Panel, however, if you would like to have your team members to help moderate without giving access to the rest of the admin panel, you can enable it for them here:


Log into your Locals community
Go to the Community Admin panel (located under your username menu)
Go to Moderation > Settings
Under the Moderators field, select the "Creator, Admin and Team Members" option
Save Changes

Anyone who is a Team Member will now see an extra menu item in their navigation menu on the left in the community. Clicking on it will take them to the admin panel where they will only have access to the Moderation > Review page.
