How do I create events on Locals?

As a creator of a community, you can create events for your community. These events can be anything from online to meet ups including events that have ticket purchases.

Create an Event


To add an event, you should have the Upcoming Events widget added.

If you don't already have this, you can find it by clicking on the Manage Widget button on the left side of your community on desktop

Scroll to the Upcoming Events widget and click Add (and close the widget manager)

Once the widget is added, you will now see Events in your widgets block.

Select Create an Event

In the create events form, fill in all the information you have about the event and Save

Required fields include Title, Description and City


You can create as many events as you want, they will be displayed in chronological order. The widget will also display the number of people have said they would attend your event.

Edit or Delete an Event


If you need to Edit or Delete events, click on the event in question from the widget (or find the whole list when you click View Events on the left menu). At the bottom of the event, you will have options as an admin of the community to Edit, Delete, Duplicate the event or Create more.
