How do I enable/disable my notification settings on the Locals app?
To enable/disable app notifications, launch the Locals app and select your profile picture on the top right to go to Settings.
Then, select Notifications.
From here, under General Push Notifications, you can enable/disable your general push notifications on the app if you want to be notified whenever someone follows you or when someone you follow makes a post. Select the switch on the right to toggle the notification on or off. When toggled off, the switch will be grey and the dot will be on the left. When toggled on, the switch will be highlighted red and the dot will be on the right.
Tapping “Manage on Locals.com” will open your web browser to take you to your Global Email Notification settings, which can only be accessed on the locals.com website. To learn more about email notifications, go here.
Under “Community Notifications” you will see all the communities you’ve joined. Select a community to go to the app notification settings for that specific community.
After selecting what notifications you want enabled/disabled, tap Save Changes. You can also click a link that will redirect you to the web, if you want to update the email notifications for that community.
Alternatively, you can access your notification settings for a specific community from that community's page. To go to a specific community, go to My Communities (select the icon that looks like people near the bottom of the screen) and select the icon of the community you want to go to at the top of the screen.
From the community page, select the 3 dotted line on the top right and select "Notification Settings" from the drop down menu.
