What are the different tiers of members?

There are 3 different types of members.

Regular Members
Paid Supporters
One-time donators

What is a regular member?

A regular member is anyone who joins your community and hasn't supported you in any way. They are able to read your newsfeed (free posts only) and like posts. They do not have the ability to comment on posts or see other comments made on the post.

What is a paid supporter?

A standard supporter is member who has supported to your community with at least the minimum amount set in the settings for Standard Supporters. They are billed monthly (or annually) for this amount. They will have the ability to read everything in the newsfeed, including supporter only posts. They have the ability to like, comment and reply to others as well as make their own posts in the community. They can participate in live chats and live streams whenever a creator starts one. And they have the ability to access your Content Library.

This can include anyone who paid with credit card on an auto-renewing subscription or those for paid with coins on a set time support package (1, 3, 6, 12 months).

What is a one-time donator?

A one-time donator is someone who has chosen to donate with at least the minimum amount set in the settings for paid supporters. They are billed only once but they will only get 1 month of access regardless of the amount donated. This is usually a good option for people who just want to donate something to the creator without really utilizing the benefits of Locals.

This type of donation is rarely given, the only way to donate like this is on the support landing page on the community website (ex: communityname.locals.com/support).
