# Creating Your Community

Follow the steps below to create your community. Make sure you've [created a Locals account](/en/article/creating-a-locals-account-zrjamn/) prior to this.

1. Select the create a community option (find this on the left side bar or in the username drop-down)

2. Start the Community Creation Process

* Step 1 - Choose a community name (this will be the url of your community as well)

* Step 2 - Write a short description for the community (can be adjusted later)

* Step 3- Add social links (optional and can be adjusted later)

* Step 4- Upload logos/images (can be adjusted later)

3. Your community has been created! A Locals team member will approve the community shortly.
